Cleaning up by Category
Have your child help you sort items in the house by the following categories: food, toys, clothing.Provide three bins or baskets so that your child can place the items in the corresponding category. You can have him/her make labels for the baskets. Ask them as you clean up: What category do you think this item belongs to? Together you can also count the number of items your child placed in each bin!

Pidale a su hijo/a que lo ayude a clasificar articulos del hogar por las siguientes categorias: alimentos, ropa y juguetes.Provee tres compartimiento o cestas para que su hijo/a pueda colocar los articulos por categoría correspondiente. Puedes pedirle que haga etiquetas para las canastas. Preguntele mientras limpia a que categoria cree que pertenece cada articulo. Tambien pueden contar la cantidad de articulos que su hijo/a coloco en casa cesta.
Practice cleaning up using a song.
While they are cleaning up incorporate gross motor skills. Can you clean up your toys moving like an elephant? Model first and let your child follow. Allow your child to help you with house chores such as wiping tables, setting the table, sorting laundry, putting clothes away, sweeping floors, etc. Reward your child’s efforts with hugs, kisses, a high five, a pat on the back, and/ or with a specific praise which informs the child exactly what behavior you liked. Example: I liked the way you were able to set the table by yourself.Practique limpiar usando una canción.
Mientras estan limpiando incorporen habilidades motoras gruesas. A mover el cuerpo! ¿Puedes recoger tus juguetes moviéndote como un elefante? Modele primero y deje su hijo/a lo siga. Permita que su hijo/a lo ayude con los quehaceres de la casa: limpiar y poner la mesa, doblar y guardar la ropa, barrer los pisos, etc! Celebre los esfuerzos del niño/a con abrazos, besos, palmaditas en la espalda, y/o con un elogio especifico que informa al nino/a exactamente que comportamiento le gusto. Ejemplo: Me gusta la forma en que pudo poner la mesa usted mismo.
Contando Burbujas!
Si no tienes burbujas en casa: *1/2 tz de jabon *3 tzs de aguaDeja que su hijo/a cuente cuantas burbujas puede reventar en 1 minuto (utiliza un reloj con alarma y/o con musica).
Haz una tabla, y registre el numero de burbujas que explotaron durante cada vez que jugaron.
Usando la tabla como referencia, pidale a su hijo/a que revise con usted cuantas burbujas explotaron en cada ocasion.
“¿Cual es la cantidad más alta y la más baja de burbujas reventadas?”
Bubble Count!
If you do not have any bubbles at home: *1/2 cup dish soap *3 cups waterHave your child count how many bubbles can he pop in 1 minute (use a timer and/or music).
Make a chart and record the number of bubbles popped during each time played.
Using the chart as reference, ask your child to review with you how many bubbles s/he popped on each occasion.
Discuss which were the most and least number of bubbles popped?
