The total number of credits needed to graduate is 23. Each semester you earn half of a credit for each class you take. A full year - or 2 semesters- of English, for example, will add up to 1 full credit earned each year. 

For your electives, you will choose 4 classes each year (each earning you half of a credit). That is 2 full credits of electives each year, until senior year. Senior year you will have a lot of room in your schedule for more electives or other learning opportunities.
