Construction 2

Students will prepare for employment or continued education in the occupations of Carpentry, Electrical Wiring, Masonry, or Plumbing. The course includes the fundamentals of safety, tools, math, basic carpentry, electrical wiring and sizing, HVAC sizing, plumbing supply and drain sizing, and materials estimation for a Victorian style house.

The major focus of the Construction II course is to reinforce to students that construction as a process for many different skilled trades, build teams and teamwork, communication methods, construction standards and building codes, technical documentation, project management, and consequence-oriented decision making.
