Construction

Students will prepare for employment or continued education in the occupations of Carpentry, Electrical Wiring, Masonry, or Plumbing. The course includes the fundamentals of safety, tools, math, basic carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and materials estimation for a Ranch style house.

The major focus of the Construction I course is to expose students to construction as a process for many different skilled trades, build teams and teamwork, communication methods, construction standards and building codes, technical documentation, project management, and consequence-oriented decision making.
