Documenting a CRLE

To receive credit for completing a CRLE, you must complete a survey in Naviance. In addition to providing basic information about your experience, you will be asked to reflect on the experience in the survey. I advise typing up your responses in Google Docs and then pasting your answers into the survey in Naviance.

CRLE Reflection Questions

Respond to all of the following questions in paragraph form:

1. Describe your CRLE.

• Whom did you work with during this activity? Give the name of the professional, organization, or business you worked with and briefly state what they do.

• What did you accomplish? Be specific about what activities you engaged in during your CRLE. You might share a brief anecdote (something interesting, surprising, etc.) from your experience in this paragraph.

2. Reflect on your CRLE.

• How did this experience fit with your personal interests, strengths, and skills?

• What did you learn from this experience? What is something you know now that you did not know before? Did you get to learn or practice any new skills during this experience?

• How did this experience challenge you? Did you encounter any obstacles, and if so, how did you overcome them?

3. Connect your CRLE to your career exploration and goals for the future.

• Choose one or more of the following Career-Related Learning Standards and describe how you demonstrated it during your CRLE activities: personal management; teamwork; communication; problem solving; employment foundations; career development.

• What are your current post-high school goals? Did your experience change any of your ideas or goals about what you might want to pursue after high school? Explain.
