11th Grade Checklist
College and Career Essentials for 11th Grade
This year is the time to narrow down your post-high school plans and start preparing for college applications. You can take a lot of stress off yourself next year by doing the following:
Stay on course for graduation and finish the year strong.
Update your Plan and Profile and make sure you are on the right track to have the credits you need to earn a diploma. When you register for 12th grade in the spring, make sure you will be meeting the admissions requirements of your top college choices, as well as for particular programs of study.
Make sure you are on track with your Personalized Learning Requirements and look for an opportunity to complete your second CRLE.
Your grades this year are very important for college applications, so push yourself to get the best grades you can in your classes. If you didn't do as well as you could have in 9th or 10th grade, showing growth this year can work in your favor!
Continue tracking your high school activities and accomplishments.
This will help you with job and college applications. Some ways to track your activities include:
Activities Chart: You'll need a detailed record of your extracurricular activities to apply for scholarships next year.
Academic Resume: This may come in handy for applications and to share with teachers when you ask for recommendations.
Raise.me: Participating colleges award micro-scholarships to students for completing their classes, participating in extracurriculars, gaining volunteer and work experience, and attending college visits and fairs. Even if you don't attend one of these schools, this is a great tool for tracking your high school activities.
