Hello my friends! It has been a long time since I have seen you! I really miss you! I wanted to give you an update on what is going on in my life, as well as things that will be changing for me.

I am having a baby girl end of October! I am going to become a mom for the first time!

I'll finally get to graduate and say I have my degree!

Because of COVID-19 there have been a LOT of changes. A big one is I did not get to say, "Goodbye" to you.

How does saying, "Goodbye" make you feel?

Below are choices of emotion pictures that each have a song demonstrating specific emotions when saying goodbye or how we can work through that emotion. Choose which emotion you feel and watch the video corresponding to that emotion. Students should watch each video to learn about how others may feel or how they can feel multiple emotions about saying goodbye.
A continuación hay opciones de imágenes de emociones en las que cada una tiene una canción que demuestra emociones específicas al decir adiós o cómo podemos superar esa emoción. Happy - Glad we met. This song makes me happy and shares that I am so happy I met all of you!

Sad - Don't want to say Goodbye. This song helps me feel better when I am sad, knowing I have friends and people I can lean on. All of your teachers and friends at Hartvigsen will help you when you feel sad.
Triste - No quiero decir adiós. Esta canción me ayuda a sentirme mejor cuando estoy triste, sabiendo que tengo amigos y personas en las que puedo apoyarme. Todos tus maestros y amigos en Hartvigsen te ayudarán cuando te sientas triste.
Fear - Will I see you again? When we are fearful, something that can help us is to feel safe. Finding a home and safe place makes the fear seem small and helps us gain perspective. Hartvigsen can be a home for all students and friends.

Mad - I don't want to say Goodbye! This song can share how you may feel about me leaving, where you don't want me to go or forget about you. At the end of the song I tell you that, "I won't forget about you!" Truly I will never forget about you wonderful people of Hartvigsen.

I am going to miss all of you so much and wanted to write you a special song so you can know that I care about you and wanted to say, "Goodbye." I have learned so much from each of you and am so grateful to have interacted with all of you!
