This artifact is from my EDCI 353 class. We spent approximately two months collecting data in the classroom in which we were student-teaching. While collecting this data, I composed an eight-day unit plan for an ELA kindergarten classroom. I had the opportunity to incorporate techniques and lessons I observed in the classroom during my field experience.
This artifact impacted me as an instructor because this unit plan required so much from me. While excelling in six other classes, I earned a position at the top of my class. I did this, while logging over forty hours of student-teaching (over the course of two months), while also working every week. In doing all of this, I composed an eight-day unit plan implementing outstanding instructional techniques observed in my CI's classroom and learned throughout my current classes. I will most definitely be using these lessons and activities in my future classroom.
