This artifact comes from a time that I sent out parent-letters to the students' parents in my classroom.
Sending out these letters was a meaningful step this year. Firstly, it was essential to inform parents about my presence in their child's classroom, as transparency and communication are vital in fostering trust and collaboration between educators and parents. By reaching out proactively, I aimed to reassure parents about my role and intentions in supporting their child's learning journey. Moreover, this initiative marked my first interaction with parents, signaling the beginning of a partnership in their child's education. While some parents responded with excitement, the silence from others also held significance. Even if not explicitly acknowledged, the act of reaching out demonstrated my commitment to involving parents in their child's educational experience. Overall, sending out these letters was a meaningful gesture that set the stage for positive communication and collaboration between parents, teachers, and myself, laying a foundation for productive partnerships focused on student success.
