This artifact comes from a time that I realized how important recess is for the students to be able to get out their excessive energy, after we unfortunately had to skip recess two days in a row.

It's crucial for students to have recess and the opportunity to release excess energy for several reasons. First and foremost, physical activity during recess allows students to recharge both mentally and physically. Engaging in outdoor play or structured activities enables them to refresh their minds, alleviate stress, and improve their overall well-being. By expending energy during recess, students are more likely to return to the classroom with increased focus, concentration, and readiness to learn. Additionally, recess provides opportunities for social interaction, teamwork, and the development of important social skills like communication and conflict resolution. By allowing students to have a break from academic tasks, recess promotes holistic development and supports their cognitive, emotional, and social growth. Overall, incorporating recess into the school day not only benefits students' physical health but also enhances their academic performance and classroom behavior by ensuring they are refreshed and ready to engage in learning activities.
