Secondary School Assembly

The year level assembly, facilitated by the Heads of Year and advisory teachers and organised by the students, is an important part of the Global Jaya School culture as it provides students with the opportunity to build community within the year level, as well as to showcase skills acquired throughout the year.

The purpose of a year level assembly is for students to share achievements, skills, and understanding acquired and developed throughout the academic year. The achievements, skills, and understanding may have been acquired from the curriculum, the extra-curricular programme or in private endeavours. The assembly is an opportunity to celebrate the growth of the student community in each grade level. 

As an IB World School, the parameters of the GJS year level assembly are defined by our understanding of the term, ‘international-mindedness’, our school mission and vision, as well as the attributes of the IB Learner Profile.
