I love to spend my free time doing sports and spending time with my family and friends. When I'm bored and have nothing to do I could go to my bike trainer and put in at least an hour of training or go across the street and have an easy run. Sometimes when I just want to relax I could go hang out with some friends or watch a movie and continue my favorite TV series. Sometimes I also go to the golf course and practice there to let off some steam from sch ool and while doing that I practice and get better. My hobbies include golf, cycling, running, and swimming. What I like about all these sports is that they are all mainly mental-based sports. Your mentality is far more important than your physical ability. In golf, your mental state is important to keep you calm and focus on your shot. In cycling, running, and swimming, your mental state is important for you to not give up. If you have a strong mentality you wouldn't want to stop, you would want to go faster. It's the same with everyday activities like school and work. With a strong mentality, I'm sure you would go far and beyond. The thing that inspires me to further develop my skills in my hobbies is to beat my own records. Every time I beat a record I feel satisfied and happy. I feel like the king of the world. This boosts my confidence and helps me with school too. The achievements I've made through are winning national golf tournaments, winning triathlons, participating in cycling and swimming time trials. The way I balance my school work and my hobbies are to also put school as my priority. Before doing any activities I also try to do my school work before.
My biggest goals in my hobbies are
Golf: Go pro and join the asian tour
Cycling: Win time trials and criterion races with my team (@beep.cc)
Running: Finish a marathon (42km)
Swimming: Win open water races.
Triathlon: Finish a full iron-man (3.6k swim, 180k bike ride, 42k run)
Finishing “Bali Swim” Race Doing a 50k in bali
Left: Rodrick Luhur Middle: Me Right: Reza Rajasa
Participating in the PGCG GOBAR Gunung Geulis, WInning GOTTONG 3

I like to spend my free time with my friends and family. When I’m at home I watch movies and relax in the pool with my parents. When I go out with my friends we have lots of fun and that's why I think it is important to spend time with your friends and family. Being with them allows you to disconnect yourself from school and take some time off. When I’m alone I like to exercise and read. Exercising for me is enjoyable and fun because it gives you this pump of energy or like an adrenaline rush that makes you feel really good about yourself. Reading is also something I enjoy because it distracts me from wasting time on social media and electronics. It is also really interesting learning about things that you have never even thought about before. I’m persistent with these hobbies because it just makes me happy to know that I’m working on myself and improving myself through exercise and learning new things from books.
I just feel that through these hobbies I’ve become a better and happier person. I think that everyone has time for their hobbies, work, personal interests, etc. but a lot of people spend and waste their time on social media and electronics. After I get home from school, I do my exercise and if I have homework I will do that after exercising. If I don’t, I will spend time with my family and before going to sleep I will read for about 30 minutes or more if my book gets interesting. Right now, I am really into exercising and staying healthy, so my dream is to be a physiotherapist for a sports team and to be able to train athletes.
Right after the end of the tournament at Yale (with my teammates Danisha (middle) and Raynna (right))!

There are a variety of ways I spend my free time. I love hanging out with my friends to grab a bite, watch a movie, and talk about interesting topics. I also really enjoy watching movies and shows, and I often watch the ones that are trending or recommended on my Netflix page. Out of all my interests, reading is among my favorite ones! What I love about it is that it is the best stress reliever. While going through my phone can be entertaining, it can be just as strain-inducing. Whenever I immerse myself in the storyline of a book, however, I feel the tension in my body lessening and my mind relaxing. Apart from that, I love reading as it helps improve my vocabulary, communication, and analytical skills. These skills prove immensely beneficial for me at school, with all the essays and projects to do. Aside from the stress-relieving qualities of reading, the implementation of reading in school inspires me to keep on reading. One of the things reading has helped me drive through is debate! Not just debate, but anything that involves a bit of public speaking, reading has made me more confident in it. In fact, when I was in Year 7, I made the bold decision to join the Seekers group at school. I was introduced to the World’s Scholars Cup, where I won several medals and had the opportunity to debate and compete in Australia and Yale University!
With all the work we do for school, it can be hard to find time to read. However, I have learned throughout my time at school that it is vital to take breaks! At these times, I take the chance to read–even if it is just for five minutes. The biggest dream I have based on reading is something that involves communication and teamwork skills, like a job in the business world. I am not sure what I want to be right now, but I am definitely drawn to the business field

I spend my free time with my friends and family and I also sometimes have time for myself that I call my “alone time” I spend it by drawing or painting and creating different art works or also exercising. I would say my hobby is exercising and my favorite hobby is swimming because I do it everyday and I try to take it seriously too. I like swimming because I enjoy doing it and it is something that makes me happy and it also calms me down when I feel stressed out especially from school work. I tend to get inspired by Hardworking people and push myself to my limits because when I do that I feel accomplished, I also feel safe when I am around the water because in the water I tend to gain more confidence and I use swimming as a way to calm myself down and relieve stress.
I have been swimming for about 8 years now and I have achieved many things throughout my career in this sport I competed in a lot of swimming competitions including Indonesia open swimming championship (IOSC), Jakarta Open swimming championship(JOSC), KRAPDA Banten, Kejurprov (Kejuaraan provisi) , Kejurda (Kejuaraan Daerah), and I also compete for aquathlons in singapore called metasprint which is a open water competition. Overall I have achieved many medals and trophies from those competitions. I feel very proud to even go this far in my hobby because I never expected to go this far in swimming and I didn’t really expect to put this much effort and hard work into it.
I usually balance my school work and swimming by using every time I could get for example like when other students are having break I usually use that time to update my work and work on my bit by bit from far days so I make sure and try as hard as possible to not procrastinate and to use my time wisely and also not do my work last minute. My biggest dream in swimming is to go to Asian Games because I think it would make me very proud and it would also make my parents proud.
(200 meters breaststroke in JOSC 2019)
(1st place for 2019 Jakarta kids Aquathlon)

Drama in Year 10 is an experiential-based subject, where students are expected to think critically about the issues in the community (such as being isolated during pandemic, teen mental health, etc)., and then develop ways on how to communicate it in forms of self-devised theatre. In Semester 1, Students learn about brecht theatre, mini verbatim theatre in specific. Students explore key features of this style of theatre through watching professional productions and some improvisation games through Tableau, mime, mannequin challenge, and many more, both online and offline (the example in the video). The creative thinking process scaffolds students to work and rehearse collaboratively, exploring their artistic intention practically, with trials and errors. They reflect on their learning journey in their process journal.
