Early October, the whole school was nearing the end of Term 1, which meant formal check-in time for the Global Jaya School community. Mid-Semester Conferences are a celebration of learning at Global Jaya. As a community, we hope to bring enthusiasm, excitement, and a sense of reflection to these events. Since the school was two weeks into Blended Learning, everyone in the community was even more hopeful for the remainder of the academic year.
Kindergarten was eager to meet virtually; on October 7-8th, teachers, parents, and students gathered to talk about the progress that had been achieved and what’s to come. Student reflection and parent-teacher feedback filled the occasion with smiles, cheer, and joy. It was great to hear how the students were doing in class and adjusting to changes from HBL to blended learning at school. Parents also shared positive changes in their child since the beginning of the year and since coming to campus. Students shared their points of view on how school is going for them. All in all, everyone was involved in sharing how the learning process was progressing.
An evaluation was also part of the Kindergarten MSC, as room for improvement is just as important as students' progress. The teachers gave insights on what could be improved upon and how students can be more involved in their learning process.
At the end of our MSC days, we can safely say everyone in Kindergarten was happy with all the positive energy shared. We hope that all our Kindergarteners will maintain this energy as their journey in Global Jaya has just begun!

As part of the Bahasa Indonesia learning activities in Kindergarten, students have the opportunity to explore one letter each week. In semester 2, Kindy students use a BINGO game as a learning activity. In the first week, Kindergarten students chose fun activities related to the letter C, such as making patterns (Corak), tracing pictures of geckos (Cicak), singing the song "Cicak-cicak di Dinding,” and much more!
Bingo options are differentiated according to the child studying at school or home. The choice of activities that only children who learn from home can do include looking for packages with the letter C and giving kisses to (Cium) their father and mother. At the same time, students who are currently in school can look for the letter C on the display board in class and count the pictures of cherries.
It's great to see students in Kindergarten excited about completing the activities they choose to earn BINGOs.
