I am going to share my experience in creating my design project in UOI 2. At first, we were introduced to Simple Machines (lever, pulley, wedge, inclined plane, screw, wheel, and axle) and Scientific Forces (tension force, electric force, magnetic force, friction, normal force) before starting the project.
I thought it was hard but when you get the hang of it it is not as hard as I thought. At the beginning of this project, we were asked to simply find a problem around us that can be solved by using simple machines. It took a while for me to find a problem.
After you find the problem, we started brainstorming for ideas, did research for the scientific forces and for the simple machines we are going to use. Then, we will design our solution! I think that this is the most exciting part because we used Tinkercad or SketchUp to design our solution.
I chose to use Tinkercad for my design because it is easier to use. In designing the solution, we might have to redesign it if it needs to be fixed or adjusted when you test and evaluate the solution. After that, then you have your final design! The final design is like the part where you detail or change your stuff. And when that is done, you are done with the design project! It may not be as simple as what I write, but I had fun! I hope my writing inspires you to seek a solution to any problem.
