Dear Global Jaya School Community,
As we close the end of the school year 2024-2025, I would like to say a big thank you to all the support from our parents and school community. Global Jaya is truly a special place.
Some highlights of the past month:
On June 5th, the current year 6 students came to the secondary school for the day. They enjoyed meeting the new incoming students and took part in secondary lessons. Please click here to see the student MYP presentation. Also, students learned how the MYP is different from the PYP. All the teachers felt enthusiastic about teaching the new year 7 in 2025-2026!
May 5-8th, Year 10 students were the first in Global Jaya history to complete their MYP eAssessments in Mathematics, English Language Acquisition and English Language and Literature. They were studying up to the last minute! Results will be released on August 1st.
Also, the Year 10 MYP Certificate Ceremony took place on May 30th. The year 10 group celebrated their accomplishments and community with awards, food, and performances. The year 10 teachers all felt proud to see them make their transition to the IB Diploma Programme. I can say it has been an immense pleasure to watch them learn and grow throughout the year. Please see below for some photos of the event.
Year 9 students have officially begun their personal project! Year 9 students presented their mini personal project on June 12th to the GJS community. They learned how to craft a learning goal, a product goal, and develop their ATL skills. Mark your calendars for the 2025-2026 school year by clicking here for the Year 10 Academic Calendar.
Finally, our MYP Year 7-10 continue to amaze with their Service as Action projects. Recently some of the year 10 students held a bake sale for the Otak Atik group. Keep up the great work and see you in August!
