Dear Community Members,
It’s official! We successfully made it through the 2024-2025 school year, and what an amazing year it has been. Global Jaya was consistently a busy hub of student focused activity. Whether the event was sport, performance, academic, or club related, our students rose to the occasion, putting forth their best effort. As the proud Head of School, I feel fortunate to be part of this caring, dedicated, and hardworking community. We have supportive parents, excellent students, and expert teachers, all focused on making Global Jaya a leading school within Jakarta and Indonesia.
On a different note, this past week we celebrated graduation for our Year 6 and Year 12 students. It is my pleasure to wish our Year 12 students all the best in their future endeavours as they head off to university in Indonesia and around the world. And we look forward to the Year 6 students joining the Secondary School next year as they begin their MYP journey. For anyone who missed any of our graduations or celebrations, please check out the Events page of this Kontak for links to our videos. New Head of the Parent Association
We are excited to officially welcome Ibu Bebe as the next Head of the Parent Association. Given her professional experiences, connections to the school, and collaborative approach to leadership, we know that she will maintain the high level of commitment and professionalism that currently defines the PA Leadership Team.
Additionally, the official handover of the PA Leadership from Ibu Bunga to Ibu Bebe will take place at our first Parent Coffee on September 2nd. We hope to see you there as we formally welcome Ibu Bebe to her new position and set the course for the 2025-2026 academic year.
At the same time, on behalf of the Global Jaya Leadership Team and the school community, I would like to thank Ibu Bunga for her tireless dedication and support for Global Jaya School as the Head of PA. Over the past two years, Ibu Bunga has been a persistent advocate for the school and our students, always positive, committed to supporting the school, providing insightful guidance and steady leadership. Thank you Ibu Bunga for a successful two years, and without a doubt, the return of Family Fun Day will be the jewel of your legacy. Well done!
Additionally, please note that we will only send out updates via ManageBac over the summer holiday if and when needed. Otherwise, please expect our next edition of the Kontak newsletter, the first edition of the 2025-2026 school year, to be sent out on August 1, 2025.
Finally, on behalf of the Leadership Team, all the staff and faculty of GJS, we hope you enjoy a pleasant, relaxing, and rewarding holiday!
