On June 5th, our school held a special Year 6 Transition Day designed to welcome both our current Year 6 students and new students joining us from other schools. This exciting event offered a wonderful opportunity for all participants to get a taste of what life is like in middle school.
The aim of the programme was to help students become more familiar with the Middle Years Programme, meet their future teachers, and begin building new friendships. Throughout the day, students engaged in a variety of activities that introduced them to subjects they will study in the coming year, such as science, art, and Math. They also participated in fun team-building exercises to help ease the transition and create a sense of belonging.
One of the highlights of the day was the chance to explore the middle school classrooms and facilities, giving students a real feel for the environment. Teachers were on hand to answer questions and offer guidance, ensuring that everyone felt supported and welcomed.
The students were very enthusiastic and eager to take part in the programme. Their energy and curiosity made the day truly enjoyable and successful. We are confident that this experience has helped to ease their nerves and sparked their excitement for the new school year.
We look forward to welcoming these students as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey in Secondary Schooll.
