The Year 2 Sales Day event was a remarkable culmination of the P5 project, "Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila," allowing students to apply their knowledge in a practical and engaging way, linking their learning in science and mathematics with real-world experiences. Students worked in groups, collaborating both inside and outside of school to create a variety of products, including popsicles, pancake waffles, slime, and juice, enthusiastically shopping for ingredients and learning the value of teamwork and communication.
This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to observe how solids, liquids, and gases transformed during their projects, reinforcing their understanding of physical changes. In mathematics, they practiced money management skills by budgeting for ingredients, calculating costs, and setting prices, enhancing their numeracy skills and teaching valuable lessons about financial literacy. The Sales Day was more than just a market; it was an incredible learning experience that showcased creativity, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial spirit, fostering a sense of community and encouraging students to take pride in their work.
The Year 2 students recently had an inspiring opportunity to engage with a panel of guest speakers: Ibu Tasya, Ibu Heppy, Ibu Endah, and Ibu Atiqah. Each expert brought a unique perspective aligned with our unit on imagination and creativity. Ibu Tasya captivated the students with her insights into design, demonstrating how planning and creativity can bring ideas to life through impactful visuals. Ibu Heppy shared her passion for photography, encouraging students to see the world through a different lens and to capture their own perspectives. Ibu Endah introduced the importance of architecture, explaining how creativity shapes the spaces we live in, while Ibu Atiqah emphasized fashion design as a powerful tool for self-expression, inspiring students to think of clothing as a personal art form.
Throughout the session, the speakers reinforced the message that imagination is a vital tool for self-expression. They encouraged students to embrace their creativity and explore a variety of artistic mediums. The interactive nature of the discussions sparked excitement and curiosity, leaving students motivated to dive deeper into their artistic interests. We are deeply grateful to Ibu Tasya, Ibu Heppy, Ibu Endah, and Ibu Atiqah for generously sharing their time and expertise to inspire the next generation of creators.
