Bahasa Indonesia Department once again held Hari Bahasa under the Book Week event. This time, the focus was on both literary and non-literary studies. Three events ran simultaneously; two were talk shows, and one was buddy reading. One of the talk shows is Perlukah Bias pada Media Komunikasi Massa (Is Bias Needed in Mass Media Communication?) with Kalis Mardiasih and Alma Tobing. Another was Menjelajah Dunia Melalui Lensa (Traveling the World Through Lens) with Yuki Anggia. These talks allowed the students to learn directly from the experts. The third event was Reading for Primary under the Book Week committee, where the primary students could listen to their seniors reading their favorite books, enhancing the engagement of the primary and secondary students.
The deadline for the class photo competition closed the event. The winners were 12C for depicting Intan Paramadhita's short story, "Sihir Perempuan: Misteri Polaroid", bringing up the issue of how women must meet society's expectations. Another winner was 8C, which depicts Syrian refugees' lives from Khaled Hosseini's graphic novel Sea Prayer.Â
