Dear Community Members,
Throughout the past four weeks of school, Global Jay has been a busy hub of activity. Students are vigorously rehearsing for the performance of Mayr Poppins Jr, practicing for an upcoming international volleyball trip to Singapore, getting ready to enjoy the return of Family Fun Day, completing the Year 10 Personal Project, and our Year 6 students are in the middle of their PYPX. Of course, this extracurricular emphasis occurs at the same time that our students remain focused on their academic studies. The end result is that Global Jaya students are well-rounded, community focused individuals. To make all of this activity a success, we are appreciative and thankful for the support received from parents, faculty, mentors, programme coordinators, administration, and of course, for the tremendous efforts put forth by the students themselves in bringing all of our celebratory events to fruition.
With the anticipated start of Ramadan on March 1st, we will initiate Ramadan hours starting Monday, March 3rd and will carry through to the end of Term 3 on Friday, March 21st. During this period, our school day will end at 3:30 pm rather than the customary 4:00 pm. Friday departure times remain at 3:30 pm, with NO changes to the instructional timetable between 7:30 am - 3:00 pm. In consultation with Pak Alex, ASAs will continue as usual, albeit in less vigorous sports. If you need more clarification, please speak with your divisional principals.
Our Admissions team continues accepting and processing applications for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Our next Open Day event will be on Friday, May 9, 2025. This event provides an opportunity for us to share with new and potential families all that is special about our school, our community and why a Global Jaya School prepared and delivered International Baccalaureate continuum education is the best option for their children.
If you have colleagues, friends and/or family interested in learning more about joining our community, please encourage them to contact Ibu Kania, our GJS Admissions officer, at admission@globaljaya.com or by phone at +62 21 745 7562 Ext.154 for further details.

GJS Festival of Hope
A significant and dedicated group of Secondary and Primary students, teachers, and parents have been working tirelessly to bring to life the Festival of Hope. This event, the first to happen in Indonesia, is an experience that takes place under the umbrella of the IB and focuses on fostering a sense of Hope, Outreach, and Action among today’s youth. We look forward to hosting the Festival of Hope on April 11 and 12, 2025, where we plan to bring to life our focus for this event--Unity in Diversity: United in Hope, Embracing Diversity.
The Global Jaya School community was privileged to welcome the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Indonesia Bapak Maman Abdurrahman on Thursday, where he presented to our Year 10 students about the virtues of the Pancasila and entrepreneurship.
