Let it grow
Let it grow
You can't reap what you don't sow
Plant a seed inside the earth
Just one way to know its worth
Let's celebrate the world's rebirth
We say let it grow!
(Let It Grow - The Lorax)
Year 2 loves to share the planet with others!
Currently, Year 2 is exploring plants and ways to grow them. Therefore, we are not only learning about plants through books, but we planted them ourselves. We had the school’s gardeners share their knowledge on how to grow a tree from seeds. Do you know how to grow them? Here are the steps that you can follow if you are interested to plant as well:
Have your pot, shovel, soil, and seeds ready.
Put some soil in the pot.
If the seeds that you are planting are big, you need to make some holes in the soil. But if the seeds are small, you can sprinkle the seeds on the soil.
Cover the seeds with some soil.
Water the soil.
Place the pots in a place where there is sunlight and water the plants regularly.
There are several seeds that we planted: spinach, chili, and morning glory. We take care of the plants every day. When you go around to the garden next to Primary Plaza, you are welcome to visit and show some love to our plants.
People say you do not realize the value of something until it is gone. Let’s not wait until the plants are gone to realize the value of them in our life! Let’s show our love and make a change together by taking care of the plants and environment around us!
