Although bitter, the departure of the 20-21 GJS Student Council batch led to the promotion of the 21-22 GJS Student Council batch as the executive boards and brought a new wind of change: the Vice President elections. The Vice Presidential Election is one of the most anticipated and traditional events the Student Council holds every year. In this event, the student body of Year 10 has a chance to run in partners to be Vice Presidents of the Secondary Student Council. It has been our culture that the chosen Vice Presidents will take the place of the Presidents the year after. This year, we were blessed with six talented and bright candidates to run for this year’s Vice Presidents position. Our candidates and new vice-president are amongst:
Following the election week, in which candidates promote themselves and begin their campaigns, the candidate elected by the student body was revealed: Allea Amarantha Anggoro and Haudy Muhammad Kautsar. The pair will begin their executive career as Vice Presidents for the year 2021-2022 and lead the Student Council as Presidents for the year 2022–2023.
