DESTINY LIBRARY ONLINE CATALOGUE

New Feature Release: Google Sign-On is Here!

Hello GJS readers!

We are glad to announce that Destiny, our library’s online catalogue, now supports Google Sign-On. With Google Sign-On, students and teachers who already logged into Google seamlessly navigate into Destiny without another login.

A logged-in Destiny user also has access to more Destiny features and functions. Once you've logged in to your account, you can:

Reserve and request items from the library catalogue.
Write reviews of books you've borrowed.
See what books you currently have on loan and what books you've borrowed in the past.

And many more features are available when you sign in to Destiny using your Google account.

Destiny makes it easy to look for resources in our library's entire catalogue. With a single search, you can find everything from eBooks to print materials to websites, anywhere and anytime

To find resources on the library’s online catalogue Destiny has user interface options. You can choose one of the options, either Library Search, Destiny Quest, and Destiny Discover. Below are the details of the interface options.

Library Search

Basic search with simple search terms to find resources and set limiters to narrow your search results. Select one of the following search buttons: Keyword, Title, Author, Subject, Series.

Destiny Quest

The simplified version with student-friendly themes includes student-friendly navigation features to make it easy for students to see where to click.

Destiny Discover

The standard version and original interface to find print and digital resources. It features and designs for upper-grade levels

Here is an example of the steps to access your library account under the Library Search interface.

Go to http://library.globaljaya.com/ then click “GJS Library Resource Centre” on the middle top of the page.

2. Simply click the "Log In" button in the upper right corner and log in with Global Jaya’s Google account, eg. username@student.globaljaya.com to access Destiny.

3. On the menu bar, click “My Info” tab to see the features provided when you are logged in to Destiny.

Below are the menu that you can find under “My Info” tab menu:

ITEMS OUT - Displays the list of books that you have checked out and shows the due dates.

RESOURCES - Displays the list of resources books that you have checked out and shows the due dates.

VIEW HISTORY - Displays the list of books that you have checked out in the past.

HOLDS - To reserve the book you needed. Library staff will prepare your book and you will be notified.

RECOMMENDED TITLES - List of your recommended books

In order to sustain the quality of our programmes, the Global Jaya School Library will continue to give the services through GJS Library Drive Through Service. All the necessary steps needed to borrow books will be conducted online by using a Google Form. Please read these instructions prior to using the Library Book Check-Out Form. We strongly suggest that you bookmark both of these links for easy access in the future.
