Since they are learning about the Sharing The Planet, Kindergarten students have been practicing how to care for the Earth this term. They have learnt about the living things on Earth and the relationship between them. Students began to open their minds that humans are not the only ones who live on Earth, but they share the Earth with animals and plants too.
In order to develop an understanding about it, the teachers provided some examples of the things people can do to help their surroundings, including the other living things. Once a week, students chose to practice caring for other people by putting the rubbish in its place, caring for animals by feeding their pet, caring for other living things by closing the water tap if it’s not used so we can preserve clean water, or other activities.
Here are some photos of them practicing their care for the Earth. Thank you for showing your love for the Earth, Kindergarten students!
In this term, Kindergarten students have had opportunities to continue developing their physical and motoric ability while they are learning at home. Students were encouraged to have a routine exercise where they could practice some basic locomotor and non-locomotor movements which helps their self regulation.
Every Tuesday, students choose the physical activity they wish to try from a selection of activities provided by the teachers. Students can choose to follow dance steps, play hopscotch, do the air cycling, jumping jacks, or a few other activities. They are welcome to do it alone or to ask another family member to do it together with them.
