Year 6

On Wednesday - Thursday, 23 - 24 February 2022, the Year 6 team conducted the PYP Virtual Exhibition Days. The PYP Exhibition Days is the culmination activity of the PYP Exhibition as one of the requirements that every student needs to complete as part of their PYP journey before continuing to the MYP. The PYP Exhibition allows students to choose topics that interest them as their exhibition topics. The PYP Exhibition also provides students with opportunities to demonstrate agency through planning their inquiries and considering their responses to their learning.

During the PYP Virtual Exhibition Days, the Year 6 students present their topics to various audiences, from Kindy to Primary students, from Global Jaya communities and outside, and from teachers and students from IB schools outside Jakarta. We also have some visitors from other countries such as Brazil, Ghana, Switzerland, India, China, and Saudi Arabia.

As part of their PYP Exhibition project, Year 6 students created products such as movies, digital posters, websites, etc. to communicate their chosen topics to the audience.

The Year 6 students presented their chosen exhibition topics to their audience clearly and confidently. Year 6 students also did interactive activities with their audience such as drawing, read along, quizzes, etc.

Since this year’s PYP Exhibition is being conducted virtually, the Year 6 team has created a website as the center of the PYP Virtual Exhibition activities. After the PYP Virtual Exhibition Days finished all of the activities, the Year 6 students had a moment of togetherness to close off a very busy 2 days event.
