Closing Term 3 and Welcoming Term 4
To wind up our Term 3 learning journey, Kindergarten students presented a mini online exhibition using Google Sites. The exhibition displayed the habitat dioramas they had been working on side by side in class every Tuesday. Kindergarten students also created a video sharing their knowledge regarding the diorama they created, which included the characteristics of the habitat and the natural elements that live there.
A marvelous Term 3 wrapped! We are ready for a beautiful Term 4!
Under the transdisciplinary theme, ‘How We Express Ourselves, Kindy students are exploring many ways to express their ideas and feelings. To support students’ investigations, teachers have invited guest speakers from our school community: Ibu Windy and Ibu Nova, to discuss and share their favorite ways to communicate emotions and thoughts. For instance, they shared they enjoy playing musical instruments, cooking, and dancing. The discussions have been productive and students have shown enthusiasm and respect by asking questions and giving compliments. The meetings in UOI 4 aim to bring a broader perspective for our kindergarten students. In the end, the students should be able to respect others who have different ways of expressing themselves.
This term, we are also committed to developing the students' ICT skills by integrating Seesaw English activities on Mondays and online Math games on Fridays. ICT skills are essential since technology is embedded in almost every aspect of our lives. Our 4 and 5 year olds are getting well-acquainted with how to operate a mouse, drag, drop, and how to click, and double-click.
