Your tutors will provide you with lots of information to support your learning and give background information for your assignments. However, you will also be expected to read around your subject and to do your own independent research. With the changes to campus access and contact days, the online sources provided by the library will be even more important to help you complete your work.
The main online resources you will need can be accessed through the your College Gmail account. These include the online library catalogue, Google Classroom and the ATHENs Portal. You will also find the extra quick links below helpful.
All the relevant resources will be covered by your course induction, but if you need more support to access online resources, please contact the Library Team on libraryrhos@gllm.ac.uk or ask your campus librarian in person during your contact days.
You do not have to be logged into the library catalogue to use it. It will help you find textbooks, e-books, e-journals, articles and newspapers. You can find out how to use the catalogue with these useful Catalogue Help Videos .
Athens is the name of the service we use to access all the e-books, e-journals and databases of resources we subscribe to. You can get help to use it with this useful Athens Help video.
