Truth Initiative, research and innovations teams are looking for grad student interns https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/4386371751/
Professor Birol has worked for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and with the wider CGIAR. If you are interested in any of the IFPRI projects, country programs, or any one of the CGIAR centers, please let her know and she would be happy to find the right people and make introductions.
She also worked at the World Resources Institute (WRI) with which GHD has a DC internship arrangement. If you are interested in doing your summer internship at any of WRI's country or regional offices, please let her know and she would be happy to gauge their appetite and make introductions.
Professor Tiongson and Professor Birol recently met with AKADEMIYA2063, a learning partner of the African Union. Their HQ is in Kigali and they have a regional office in Dakar. They hosted Isabelle Ick (GHD 2025) in Dakar for her summer internship (after which she worked with them as a paid RA/intern for over a year) and this year we have two capstone teams working with them. GHD is working on an MOU with them to formalize our relationship (including summer internships). Please let Prof. Birol know if you are interested in meeting with them.
Finally, GHD has a DC internship agreement with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) which is both a UN agency and an international financial institution. IFAD - DC colleagues had offered to introduce us to their field offices in case any of you happen to be interested in doing your summer internship with them.
