Georgetown offers students free access to major news publications (Washington Post, New York Times, Economist, Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, etc.), which you can learn more about here.
You can find a GHD-specific library and research guide here. We also recommend exploring citation tools that enable you to easily and properly manage your footnotes, endnotes, and bibliographies. Zotero is a commonly-used software.
We encourage you to schedule a meeting with the Government and SFS Librarian, Kim MacVaugh. You can either email her at kimberly.macvaugh@georgetown.edu or sign up for an appointment on the GHD research guide page. Kim has also created a capstone sub-page for students to apply her teaching to their capstone projects.
You can view the presentation that she delivered for GHD about library resources here.
For students interested in finance, Georgetown has a Bloomberg Terminal in the Lau Library, available to non-MSB students. The Bloomberg Terminal is a computer software system that allows individuals to monitor and analyze real-time financial market data, and its a skill needed in many finance job descriptions. After creating a free account at the Terminal, students can begin free, self-paced certificates which teach you how to use the Terminal.Â
