Student Leaders

We're so grateful to all of our student leaders for helping make the GHD student experience as meaningful as possible! Our student leaders for the 2025-2026 academic year are listed below, along with their contact information. Please feel free to reach out to them with questions, comments and suggestions.

Student Assistants for Social Justice: Our Student Assistants for Social Justice (SJAs), originally launched during the 2020-2021 academic year, meet with the GHD team weekly to brainstorm programmatic and curricular initiatives related to social justice and DEI. They have been instrumental in operationalizing our Program Values and Standards for Community Discussion, along with many other contributions.

GHD Class Representatives: Class representatives meet with the GHD team monthly to brainstorm ideas for increasing inter- and intra-cohort cohesion and to share feedback about how students are feeling. These roles are critical in helping us be agile and responsive to student needs.

Grad Gov Senators: Senators learn about university governance, advocate for issues that are important to students, and connect students across the Graduate School via programs and events. We always appreciate GHD having a seat at the table in Grad Gov!

GHD TAs and Tutors: TAs and tutors help support students in their GHD courses through office hours and review sessions. While the writing tutor cannot edit papers for content, they can help with structure and clarity.
