Restrictions on the Consortium registration process:
You cannot enroll through the Consortium for classes offered at Georgetown.
You cannot audit or enroll in undergraduate language courses in order to meet Georgetown’s language proficiency requirements.
If you have Special Student Status, you cannot enroll in courses through the Consortium.
If you are simultaneously matriculating at another Consortium institution (e.g., a student who is getting a degree from both Georgetown and George Washington simultaneously), you cannot cross-register between Georgetown and these other institutions via the Consortium. Tuition for courses registered through the Consortium are billed at Georgetown rates and paid to Georgetown directly. Further information can be found on the University Registrar’s Consortium Registration page.
Consortium course records and grades will appear on your Georgetown transcript, but will not count to your Georgetown GPA.
If you’re enrolled in a master’s-only program, 75% of your credits must come from Georgetown courses. Only 25% of your required credits can come from Consortium courses.
If you enroll through the Consortium, you are responsible for following the enrollment, attendance, and withdrawal regulations of the Consortium institution.
You will need to submit the student portion of the Consortium Request Form, which you should then return to the Associate Director of Academic Programs. Kristen will then forward the form for the Consortium team for processing.
