“UFO” Sighting Confirmed by Navy

They don’t know what, but something is out there

The U.S Navy has recently released three videos showing what they called “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.”

The first video was taken in 2004, and the other two were both taken in 2015. After the long declassification review process, the videos were released in late 2018 and early 2019.

The videos were taken by Navy personnel whilst carrying out training missions. Each mission took place in private military airspace. The original videos are still property of the Navy, but copies were made and those were what was published.

The originals were leaked to the general public long before they were formally released in 2019. They were leaked sometime in 2007 by an unknown source.

The Navy says they are unaware of what the things are, but it is highly unlikely that they are extraterrestrial life. Other explanations, such as drones, birds, or cloud shadows could be the cause of the “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.”

Of course, because these videos were taken on military property, any unidentified phenomena causes alarm. First, the footage raises questions on the security of the property. If something was able to breach the security measures without notice, it becomes an immediate problem. Second, it becomes a safety problem. If something small is able to infiltrate the area, the sighting has raised concerns among officials about potential, possibly more dangerous intrusions.

There is also the worrying possibility that something alive could intrude. There could be legal obstacles and other problems arising if said thing was injured. All in all, it problematic if anything is able to get into the restricted area, no matter what it is.

It has become a rising concern that such sightings have increased over the years. The most common answer to this is that it’s due to the rising popularity in drones. The more drones that are out there, the more likely that one or three may cross unseen borders.

The three videos depicting the “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena,” were known as "FLIR1", "Gimbal", and "GoFast".

The FLIR1 video was the earliest one, taken in 2004. It is now discussed as the “2004 Nimitz incident.” The reason for this was that the video itself was taken on a carrier, the USS Nimitz.

In the video, titled "Gimbal", crew members of the Navy who witnessed the object debated on the possibility of it being a drone. One crew member could be heard saying, “Look at that thing.” They crew also reported that the unidentified aerial phenomena appeared to be going against the wind, making it exceptionally odd.

Lastly, the video called “GoFast”, took place over the water. The crews caused a slight ruckus, exclaiming, “What the **** is that? What is that man?”

What was actually in the videos is still in the air for questioning. It could be an odd species of bird, or it could be far-flying drones. Forever unlikely, it could be aliens. Whatever the Navy deems ‘it’ is, there is now no denying that something is out there.
