As the Coronavirus spreads into our area with one confirmed case in Gloucester stores and restaurants are taking precautions. And places that are open are losing money fast.

Gloucester’s Chick-fil-a has closed their dining room and has stopped serving breakfast but the drive through is still open 10:30-8, all fast food restaurants din-in’s are closed. Walmart is no longer open 24 hours but open 6-8 and local restaurants have closed for further notice. The Gloucester/Mathews Animal Shelter has closed to the public but is still taking donations of animal food. Bank lobbies are closed, but ATM’s and drive-thrus are open. Retail stores are allowed to stay open if they have ten or less people in the store and offer sanitizing to customers but Salons and spas are closed. Health care and stores for essential needs are open but also close early.

Health officials have requested that people do not go out unless it’s an emergency or for essential needs.
