After a six month long investigation, police identified Frederick Christopher Pryor as a person of interest for a series of burglaries spanning across Gloucester, Mathews, and Middlesex.

Gloucester deputies arrested Pryor during a traffic stop near Crab Thicket Rd. and John Clayton Memorial Highway. They later charged him with possession of firearms and possession of burglary tools.

After more investigation, deputies connected Pryor to four business burglaries.

Police say that he is responsible for an attempted break and enter and petit larceny of Auto Spa Car Wash (4088 George Washington Memorial Highway) on October 18, 2020.

Police connected Pryor to three more burglaries, one of which is the break and enter and petit larceny of Stop N Go (1505 George Washington Memorial Highway), which happened on October 28, 2020.

He was also charged with petit larceny and break and enter of Glenn's Food Mart (14878 George Washington Memorial Highway) on December 6, 2020, followed by grand larceny and break and enter at Glenn’s Food Mart on December 31, 2020.

As of now, no information on the amount of money and products he stole. There are no injuries that we know of.

Currently, Pryor is being held on no bond at the Gloucester jail. Police say more charges against him are still pending.

“Well this is my first time hearing about this,” says Freshman Connor Delatorre, “so (I’m) not sure if it would matter, but I think he should have to repay for everything he stole and destroyed and he should be put in jail.”

“Sometimes in life, you just gotta steal,” jokes anonymous Freshman, “But I mean, in all seriousness, he could have been in need, but it is still wrong.”
