Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the Washington Football Team beat the Dallas Cowboys for the second time this year.

Since 1939 there has always been a game on Thanksgiving. There were two games played on Thanksgiving this year. The first one was the Detroit Lions and the Texans.

The Lions had to do well in this game because their record was not the best.

The Texans started out with 13 points in the first quarter, and the Lions had 7 points.

After the first quarter the Texans pulled away with scoring 3 more touchdowns and a few more field goals. The Teaxans won the game 41 - 25. It was a difficult loss for the Lions, who had lost the week before.

The second game played on Thanksgiving was the most popular. It was between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Football Team. These teams had been Matched up on Thanksgiving for years. The last Washington win on Thanksgiving was in 2012, when Robert Griffin III was still the quarterback.

The game started out with a Dallas field goal. Without Dak Prescott, the Cowboys didn’t have a great quarterback to rely on.

Later in the first quarter Washington scored a touchdown.

In the second quarter both teams ended up with ten points each. At the end of the Half Washington lead 17 - 13.

The third quarter both teams only kicked one field goal a piece.

The fourth quarter came around and Dallas was looking to come ahead, but on the first drive Washington intercepted the ball. After the interception, Washington drove down field and scored.

After those plays the game went downhill for Dallas. They threw one more interception, which led to Washington scoring again, and they fumbled the ball which led to another Washington score.

At the end of the quarter Washington had scored 21 points which helped them defeat Dallas 41 - 16. This win put Washington in the lead for their division, and maybe a playoff spot.

It was the first time Dallas had lost to Washington on Thanksgiving since 2012. It was a huge loss for Dallas.
