The Gloucester High School SCA is hosting a few activities and events before school lets out for the holiday season.

Starting November 30th- December 18th, The Gloucester County SCA is hosting a Sock and food drive to benefit those in need.

The Gloucester County Public School website states that those in charge of the plan of action need donations of “socks, water, pasta, rice, canned vegetables, bread, oatmeal, cereal, non-perishable, etc.”

The SCA implores teachers and students to drop off their donations in boxes in their classrooms, in order to aid the diminishment of hunger during the holiday season.

Staff and students at Gloucester High School are also participating in a Holiday Spirit week.

You can participate while attending school physically, or virtually.

Monday is Holiday Sock day, where you are supposed to wear your most festive socks!

Tuesday is Holiday Character day, where you dress as your favorite Holiday character! For example, Buddy from the movie Elf!

Wednesday is Tropical Holiday day, where you act as a tourist in places such as Hawaii! Grab your favorite pair of sunglasses and tropical attire.

Thursday is Festive Hat day! Throw on your favorite holiday hats!

Finally, Friday is Ugly Sweater day! Wear your tackiest holiday sweater!

There is also a door decorating competition! Teachers are to decorate their doors, and students are encouraged to decorate their own, for the holiday season.

Voting will be taking place, virtually, December 12- 17.

First, second, and third place winners will be announced Friday, December 18.

So let’s help the SCA spread holiday cheer, and spread joy towards the end of this evidently crazy year.
