Hackers Leak Lil Uzi Vert Singles

Reporter Karley Ross

Even after Uzi dropped a single “Free Uzi,” from upcoming album ‘Eternal Atake’ fans are still craving to hear more of his music.

A group of fans raised money to buy Uzi’s unreleased music. A group channel called “Groupbuys” on Discord, which is typically used as a message chat for video gamers, raised $1,250 on Cash App to get their hands on Uzi’s unreleased music.

‘Eternal Atake’ has been finished since around December, but there has been loads of drama surrounding the release. Regardless, fans have been waiting to hear a new album from Uzi for over 2 years.

A song they purchased called “Money Keep Coming,” Uzi and his friends had previously teased at a holiday show in Philly, which was believed that it was going to be on ‘Eternal Atake.’ The song has since been re-uploaded to YouTube and can now be streamed on Soundcloud.

The members have even raised enough money to purchase another unreleased Uzi song.

The hacker goes by user SpirDark, who has been known to of leaked Uzi’s music back in 2016. He was also tied to a hack in R&B artist Frank Ocean’s Tumblr account.

The account’s avatar is a screenshot of Uzi confronting someone who is hacking him and leaking his music. This users account has been taken down.

On a since-deleted account, the user claimed to “have multiple folders full of Pro Tools sessions with unreleased Lil Uzi Vert music."

The FADER confronted SpirDark on Discord, but he wouldn’t confirm or deny responsibility for previously leaking Uzi tracks in 2016 and Frank Ocean’s tracks in 2019.

Discord itself has been used for other leaks in the past, including songs from artists like Twenty One Pilots and Lady Gaga.

Uzi doesn’t seem to be too thrilled over the leaks. He took it to his Instagram story to tell fans that once they leak his music, it prolongs the official release of his new projects. "Everytime something leak you know everything takes longer....so have fun" he wrote.

Hopefully Uzi will release ‘Eternal Atake’ soon, as everyone is bursting with excitement to hear his new tracks.
