Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass Launched

Reporter Brady Landry

Season eleven io Fortnite launched Tuesday morning following a 2 day long wait. Players had to stare at a black hole with a few clues as to what would be happening.

The new Battle Pass’ skins have alter egos, with a good/evil theme. The tier one skins are Journey/Hazard, sort of a Brite Bomber type skin. The other skins are Turk and Riptide. These skins are explorer type skins, with Turk being a fisher/coast guard officer, and Riptide being based off of an old tv show villain.

The tier twenty skins are Rippley and Sludge. Keeping with the silly skins like Onesie from season 7 and Peely from season 8. Rippley looks like a mix of Slurp Juice and, well, we don’t really know. His alter ego, Ripple, has an evil looking grin, and a red color scheme.

For tier 40, we have the Remedy skin. Remedy is based off of the new bandage launcher and med kits. We have had medical skins before (and even a loading screen) but this skins has a twist with the new alter ego, Toxin. Toxin flips the idea of Remedy on its head, with a green poison theme.

On tier 60, the 8 ball skin makes its appearance. It has the theme of a magic eight ball mixed with an assassin. His alter ego is Scratch, based off of a cue ball, sticking with the pool theme.

For tier 80, we have the Cameo skin. This skin is based off of the styles of the 1980’s, with neon coloring, a walkman, and 80’s sunglasses. Her alter ego is Chic, basically a reworked version of Cameo, with more of a pink color scheme.

On the final tier, tier 100, we have the Fusion skin. The fusion skin has a kind of Ninja theme, mixed with the black hole we saw before the new season launched.

In the new battle pass, there are also new gliders, pickaxes, backblings, and much more. One cool item is the Sky Trawler glider, part of the open water set which includes the Turk/Riptide skin. It goes along with the adventure and outdoors theme of the new season. (and reminds me of something you’d see at Bass Pro Shops) We also have a neat back bling based off the zero point sphere from the now gone Loot Lake.

This new battle pass also gives you a chance to get back the v-bucks you spent on the battle pass. The normal price is 950 v-bucks, but this battle pass gives you a chance to earn over 1,400 v-bucks.

It wouldn’t be a battle pass without loading screens, and Chapter two has plenty. One neat one is the mech from the final event of Season 9. Another one, with Halloween coming up, is a Pumpkin head skin with a spooky background.

Now we look ahead to dropping in the brand new map, all while rocking our new cosmetics from the new battle pass.
