Animal Crossing: New Horizons is less than a month away and, thankfully, Nintendo recently released a Nintendo Direct to satiate their fans growing need for Animal Crossing until the game is finally out in stores. And with this new direct having come out to show off the games new features and revealing the new add-ons that will appear in the game its excited fans even more as a result. So today I will be telling you about some of the newest features that will show up in New Horizons since Nintendo just can’t help themselves when it comes to making their fans happy.

As I’m sure most people reading this are aware, the next Animal Crossing game has your player character living on a deserted island thanks to Tom Nook, the town capitalist. But what I’m sure that you are not aware of is the fact that island customization becomes a very unique and creative feature later in the game. From what is known about the feature, this ability allows you to control every aspect physical of the island: like whether or not you have ponds or rivers, cliffs, ramps, or levels on your island getaway. However, this feature is only available after you earn some sort of permit, it is currently unknown how you earn this permit, when, or what exactly you have to do to gain such a unique ability. But knowing Animal Crossing it will involve having to talk to a certain character in order to get it, because with Animal Crossing that is just how things are done in this game.

In Animal Crossing New Horizons, castaways become a very real and scary thing that can often happen to your player character in the mornings. With your player character finding a random villager on the beach shore after having been lost at sea. And you as the player will have to check on the villager, calm them down, and nurse them back to health (if needed) in order to help them calm down. It is unknown of what you earn from doing this but most likely you get some sort of rare item from the villager once they are calm. You are also able to let the villager become a member of your little island community, but no matter what reward you get for helping the villager. It's good to see that Nintendo isn't missing out on such an exciting and blatantly obvious addition to life on an island.

Another new feature that was revealed to be in the newest Animal Crossing game is Island Mystery Tours, which you can only access by earning tickets for that specific in-game action. But, anyways, on Island Mystery Tours you are able to explore a deserted island for an unknown amount of time. Gathering fruit, wood, stone, and other resources that you don’t have and may need or want on your island. And while on these tours, you can meet other villagers who are visiting the island as well (most likely to gather resources of their own). However, when you are done with the island tour you head straight back to your island and reap the rewards of your gatherings until you once again get to go on another tour.

So it looks like Animal Crossing New Horizons has a lot more fun for us then fans ever expected. And if you still haven’t managed to pre-order a copy of the game I suggest you do so before March 20th because this game will be flying off the shelves.
