Rapper 21 Savage Faces Possible DEPORTATION

Reporter Lainey Blanks

Infamous American, and apparently full blooded British rapper, 21 Savage, faces possible deportation.

Birth certificates and long expired visas surfaced saying Savage moved to the U.S at the mere age of seven from London, England. Savage was picked up and held by ICE officers on the 2nd of February, 2019.

Savage claimed in an outraged state, “ I’d sit in jail for years to fight to live in the United States.”

Many devoted fans, political activist, and general millennial browsing through Twitter for a fight to pick with their keyboard think it is unjust to keep him captive and send him back to a place where he didn't grow up. They argue that such a big building block of American culture should stay on American soil instead of abandoning him in foreign alien territory.

This debate is just the tip of the iceberg in the never ending immigration conflict in the American media. Who knew one single rapper being deported in the hundreds of illegal citizens in the country would be like dumping gasoline over a forest fire?

Not only does it bring up political turmoil, it also forces us to resolve a quiet internal conflict. Why do we let endless common people be deported that are in the exact same situation of Savage, but when an influence on American culture is held up to the stand it sparks global outrage?

Deeply devoted and 21 Savage enthusiast, Zane Givens, expressed his anger, claiming “ The meme’s pretty dope so that’s worth it, but he grew up in and had an impact on America. To keep him locked up like a psycho isn’t fair.”

As if this controversy wasn’t infamous enough there’s also rumors going around that it was sixnine that ratted him out just to get out of a 43 year prison sentence. Givens states, “Dude, that was really low he snitched on everyone. When he’s back out on the street he’s going to be dead in a second.”
