As a part of Santa Rosa Junior College's HSI-STEM 2.0 Initiative - Avanzando, the district is sponsoring a high school STEM outreach opportunity. 

SWAP is a one-week summer program at Santa Rosa Junior College for rising sophomore and junior high school students interested in exploring careers in Health Sciences and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). 

Through hands-on laboratory experiences and featured speaker presentations, participants will learn by doing and learn more about careers including nursing, nutrition & dietetics, dental assisting, medical assisting, radiology technician, pre-med, and jobs in the STEM field such as chemistry, biology, physics, computer science, and mathematics. 

Participants will learn from faculty and current SRJC students. As a part of the program curriculum, participants will explore self-development topics and master STEM-specific study skills in a welcoming and fun environment with their peers.
