Both artists in a wide variety of subjects, Massimo and LeIla Vignelli were husband and wife collaborators who did a good amount of works together. They are both Italian-born artists from the mid-20th century. Together, their most notable works consist of the 1972 New York Subway Map and American Airlines' brand identity. In 2008, they donated their complete collection to RIT, where it was then put on display in a building of their own design in 2010.
