Who was Frank Gannett?

 Frank Gannett started as a newspaper reporter, who eventually came to own or partially own over 20 newspapers, some of which were in Rochester. He chose the Mechanics Institute as an ideal place to start a printing school after WWI's shortage of trained printers.
