Inducting New Staff by Preparing Informed and Reflective Educators
INSPIRE Hays Mission Statement
The mission of the INSPIRE Hays induction program is to train and support new teachers so as to foster the development of master teachers who engage in a career-long process of growth and reflection.
District Support
District training sessions throughout the year. These start in the summer and continue throughout the school year. Each training is designed to meet our new-to-profession teachers where they’re at and provide them with information that is relevant and helpful as they establish and refine their own teaching practices. Participants will be with other novice teachers in the district and will have the opportunity to collaborate and connect.
Campus Support
Participants will be assigned a campus mentor who will meet with them for a minimum of three times per week during the first 9 weeks of the school year, and once per week for the remainder of the year. Mentors will also attend all Campus Monthly Meetings with their mentee. These meetings are an hour long and led by the Campus Advisor. Both mentors and the Campus Advisor are go-to people for support and help.
Early-to-Profession Teachers (less than 3 complete years of teaching experience) will complete in the year-long program. Participants will attend district and campus training sessions and will be assigned a campus mentor.
INSPIRE New Teacher Academy kicks off on July 28-29, 2025 and sessions will continue throughout the school year.
If you were a late-hire and only attended a portion of the INSPIRE trainings during the 2024-2025 school year, you will need to plan to attend the missed sessions this upcoming school year.
INSPIRE New Teacher Academy will be held July 28-29, 2025. New to Profession Teachers will also need to attend July 30 for our new to district training. Attendance is required for all the dates listed above.
Please see the INSPIRE Program Calendar (also located in the handbook) for training dates throughout the school year.
