Topic: In this course participants will be equipped with practical tools for preventing, identifying, and responding to challenging student behaviors.
Objectives:
Explore trauma-informed strategies to recognize, understand, and respond to student behaviors in ways that promote safety, connection, and regulation.
Identify root causes of student misbehavior and select appropriate Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports
Apply strategies to foster student self-regulation, social-emotional learning, and positive peer relationships
Use data-driven decision-making to monitor and adjust behavior interventions

All PK-5 content areas and paraprofessional positions receiving the bilingual stipend MUST attend.
Bilingual teachers who are new to the district and/or new to the profession are also required to attend.
* This conference is not Exchange Day eligible.
Topic: In this course for all PK-5 Bilingual Teachers & Staff (stipend recipients). Participants will engage in one day of professional development provided by Ensemble Learning, designed to equip bilingual teachers with the skills to deliver high-quality bilingual and dual language instruction. This institute will fulfill part of the required hours of professional development required to meet the bilingual/ dual language stipend criteria set forth by the district for the 26-27 school year.

Audience: All SPED teachers are required to attend the conference. This includes FL, FLA, SBI, FOCUS and Resource & Inclusion Teachers

Topic: In this two-day event, participants will receive an overview of special education programs in Hays CISD and gain clarity on both operational and instructional responsibilities. The training will review key processes including IEP documentation, FBA, BIP, PLAAFP, ARD preparation, and the use of SuccessEd for documentation and case management.
Participants will also explore effective classroom environment and management practices, instructional roles and responsibilities, lesson design and delivery, instructional walk-through tools, and available instructional resources. An introduction to Unique Learning System (ULS) and its role in supporting instruction for students with diverse learning needs will also be included.
