6 Hour Annual Update

If you are interested in accessing Region 13’s 6-hour Gifted & Talented (GT) Update , please complete this Google Form so that you may get registered. 

After you submit the form, you will receive an email with next steps for registration and course completion. 

Once you have submitted the form, we will follow up via email with next steps for registration and completion. All courses will not be available until May 27, 2026 - August 5, 2026.

Course Availability: May 27, 2026 – August 5, 2026

These courses are offered in partnership with Region 13. 

All courses will count for your 6 hour annual GT update for teachers who serve gifted and talented students. These courses are appropriate for all grade levels. 

After completing the course, please upload your certificate of completion with your request for outside PD to have the hours added to your Eduphoria Strive account. Instructions can be found here.

Registration for G/T face-to-face (summer) and online courses (summer and fall) can be found in the Eduphoria catalog under the category Gifted & Talented. If required training has been completed outside of our school district, staff members must document the training by requesting district credit via Eduphoria and attach valid certificates of completion. Courses are subject to approval by the Hays CISD Coordinator of Gifted and Talented Services and will not be approved if a certificate of completion is not attached. (Visit THIS LINK to learn how to request credit for a course completed outside of Hays CISD).  Pre-approval of out-of-district courses is strongly recommended.  If the course does not specifically state G/T credit is granted, the participant will need to show how the course addresses the needs of gifted learners and implement the strategies/ideas learned with students.  For more information about this process contact the Coordinator of Gifted and Talented Services.
