STANDARD MATH

In math this week, students will use the mean, absolute mean deviation, median, quartiles, and interquartile ranges to compare and contrast data sets.

ACCELERATED MATH

In accelerated math this week, students will review for the GMAS test.

LANGUAGE ARTS

In language arts this week, students will analyze the characteristics and structure of an informational text, make inferences about key ideas, and research and write a speech about storytelling.

SCIENCE

In science this week, students will compare and contrast the planets in terms of size relative to Earth, surface and atmospheric features, distance from the sun, and ability to support life.

SOCIAL STUDIES

In social studies this week, students will explain the impact of British discrimination on Aboriginal culture and lifestyle in the 20th century.

6th Grade Honors Orchestra

Shoutout to 14 of our Sixth Grade Orchestra students who represented us at our Gwinnett County Honor Orchestra event last Saturday. They learned five songs and performed in a concert along with nine other schools. I am so proud of their preparedness and willingness to play their instrument for four hours on a Saturday. Congratulations Students and Ms. Faragson, Orchestra Director.
