ACCESS and iReady Testing is this week. What are those tests?
All Multilingual students, including those who have waived ESOL services, must take the ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 state-required assessment. ACCESS tracks Multilingual Learners' progress toward English language proficiency in Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing. ACCESS testing begins January 16th and will continue through February 24. Please encourage your ML student's attendance and participation in ACCESS testing.
The iReady diagnostic is taken three times per year: August, January, and May. This week's diagnostic will test the growth of your student in reading and math. The grade-level equivalency score will help us to provide the proper interventions and enrichments to your student based in his or her individual needs. The iReady diagnostic is responsive to each student, meaning that the questions become more challenging as the student continues to get questions correct. Please encourage your student to put forth their best effort on the iReady diagnostic assessment.
