STANDARD MATH

In math this week, students will write and evaluate numerical expressions involving positive rational bases and whole-number exponents.

ACCELERATED MATH

In accelerated math this week, students will write expressions using variables to represent real-world situations (Assessment on Wednesday). Then, students will construct and solve one-step equations using variables.

LANGUAGE ARTS

In language arts this week, students will analyze the central idea of the text and how it is conveyed through particular details and provide an objective summary of the text.

SCIENCE

In science this week, students will plan and carry out an investigation to illustrate the role of the sun's energy in atmospheric conditions that lead to the cycling of water.

SOCIAL STUDIES

In social studies this week, students will explain the impact of location, climate, distribution of natural resources, and population distribution on Canada.

When weather-related digital days are announced, what are my child's responsibilities for the day?

When GCPS announces a digital day for inclement weather, students are responsible for checking the eCLASS or Google Classroom page for each of their teachers and completing tasks as assigned. The purpose of a digital learning day rather than a cancelled day is to ensure that learning continues so that we do not have to make up that day later in the year.
