The end of the semester is getting close. What can I do to ensure my student finishes their first semester of middle school strong? Often in middle school, lower grades are the result of unfinished work. Your students take on more of the responsibility of turning in late work and do not receive repeated reminders from teachers like they may have been accustomed to in elementary school. Parents can help by reminding your child to check their student portals for missing work, encouraging them to complete the work, and following up to make sure they turned the work in to the teacher.
